Making a difference in a child’s life can be as simple as spreading Amara’s message. By sharing your passion for Amara, you’re planting a seed for change in a child’s life. You’re bringing a child one step closer to finding a forever family.

Here are some ways you can inspire your community:

Stay in Touch

  • Keep in touch with Amara. Sign up to receive our enewsletter and stay informed.
  • We love to hear the stories of the families and children we’ve worked with over the years. Tell us your story, call us at 206.260.1704 to schedule a time for an interview.
  • Email us and tell us why you choose to give to Amara. We’d love to share your story and inspire others to support permanence for vulnerable children.

Support Our Vision

  • Host an informational event at your home or make Amara the beneficiary of your event. Please contact Megan.
  • Bring your family and friends to our annual luncheon.
  • Invite those friends of yours looking to adopt to attend an information session.
  • Sign up for Celebrated Chefs, choose Amara as your cause, and 5% of your total bill will be donated to Amara when you eat out.
  • When shopping at Amazon.com, please use this link and Amara will receive 4-8.5% of your sales total (depending on your order volume).
  • Complete a ‘B’ caring card registration form  so that every time you shop at Bartell Drugs, 4% of your purchase will go to Amara.

Wish List

Amara offers free counseling to birth parents facing an unplanned pregnancy. We provide infant supplies to families who need additional support to begin their lives as new parents.

We are always looking for donations of the infant supplies listed below:

  • Infant diapers (premature through size 2)
  • Diaper wipes and rash cream
  • Formula (Enfamil Regular or other generic brand, new and unopened)
  • Cloth blankets which can also be used for swaddling
  • Bottles, liners, nipples
  • Pacifiers
  • One-piece bodysuits for infants and premature babies (often known as “Onesies”) We prefer neutral-gender colors
  • Soft cloth hats and socks for newborns
  • Warm one-piece bodysuits for winter months
  • Infant clothing (new or gently used; freshly laundered with no stains)
  • Maternity clothes of all sizes (especially large sizes)
